***Date Change for Wollongong Show
Frontier Touring have announced that due to additional shows added to Melbourne & Sydney for Midnight Oils “The Great Circle Tour”, the concert date at the WIN Entertainment Centre has changed.
To allow for the additional Melbourne show, Midnight Oils performance at Wollongong’s WIN Entertainment Centre, originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday 8th November, will now take place on Monday 13th November 2017.
Midnight Oil and Frontier Touring appreciate the understanding of Midnight Oil fans on the necessity of the date change. Ticketholders who are able to attend the rescheduled show date need take no further action; their existing ticket will be valid for the new date and their location within the venue remains unchanged.
Ticketholders who can no longer attend the rescheduled Wollongong date are asked to seek a full refund by 5pm AEDT Friday 31 March 2017 via the show’s official ticketing agency, Ticketmaster.

The time has come … for Midnight Oil. From the northern beaches of Sydney to the streets of Manhattan, they have stopped traffic, inflamed passions, inspired fans, and broken new ground.
Experiencing Midnight Oil in full flight is to experience the transcendent power of live rock & roll. Their music makes you feel, their lyrics make you think, and the combined impact live onstage makes you want to Get Involved.
“The Great Circle 2017” World Tour will see the group’s classic lineup literally circle our overheating planet for 6 months, starting and ending with gigs in Sydney. It will be Midnight Oil’s first tour in 15 years and their biggest tour since classic 80’s and early 90’s albums like “10-1”, “Diesel & Dust” and “Blue Sky Mining” sold over 10 million copies around the world.
Anyone with a passing knowledge of Australian culture knows the basics of Midnight Oil’s story. They are the incendiary post-punks who shunned pop TV shows like “Countdown”, forging a fierce live audience through jagged Oz-rock classics like “Back On The Borderline”, “Bus To Bondi” and “Don’t Wanna Be The One”. They are the musical innovators who turned high tech polemic into hits like “Power & The Passion”, “U.S. Forces” and “When The Generals Talk”. They are the activists whose social justice campaigning includes “The Dead Heart”, “Redneck Wonderland”, “Beds Are Burning” and hijacking the 2000 Olympic Games with their “Sorry” suits. They are the committed humanists and environmentalists who brought us anthems like “Blue Sky Mine”, “Forgotten Years” and “Say Your Prayers” plus a string of protests from the Jabiluka uranium mine near Kakadu to mid-town Manhattan where they unforgettably stopped traffic outside the Exxon building after the Alaskan oil spill.
“The Great Circle 2017” will be promoted in Australia by Frontier Touring with the support of the band’s record company, Sony Music. The Triple M Network and Foxtel’s MAX will proudly present all dates nationally.
The tour will coincide with the release of a remastered CD box set called “The Full Tank” featuring all of Midnight Oil's existing albums and EP’s plus a mammoth new 4 CD/8 DVD trove called “The Overflow Tank” which will include over 14 hours of previously unreleased and rare material. The band has also unveiled their first ever complete Vinyl collection all cut at Abbey Rd Studios.
In a dangerously warming world the voice of Midnight Oil clearly takes on renewed relevance; they have always been a band that both reflects and shapes “the temper of the times”. So while clarion calls like “it’s better to die on your feet than live on your knees” may have been intended for earlier eras their lyrics and music resonate more than ever in these days of ‘alternative facts’.
Midnight Oil is more than just a rock’n’roll band. In 2017 they will finally bring things back to where they all began with this one special tour. The circle remains unbroken.
A message from Frontier Touring
Midnight Oil is of the view that the practice of individuals purchasing tickets for the express purpose of reselling them at an inflated price is detrimental to fans and the music industry generally.
We implore fans not to purchase tickets from websites that serve these scalpers including (but not limited to) eBay, Viagogo, Gumtree, Ticketblaster, Queen Of Tickets and The Ticket Merchant.
We are taking steps to try to the best of our ability limit scalping without inconveniencing our fans. These steps include;
1. Applying ticket limits per customer and per household and monitoring those limits.
2. Withholding the distribution of tickets via all channels to the 1st of August 2017. Please ensure your mailing address is up to date in your My Ticketmaster account.
3. Issuing only securely printed, hard tickets for this tour.
4. Partnering with the website Twickets as an authorised place that fans who are caught with more tickets than they need, can sell them at face value and fans who are searching for tickets can buy them from authenticated fans.
We are committed to protecting genuine fans from the practice of ticket scalping. By purchasing this ticket you acknowledge that, as a condition of sale the event organiser reserves the right to cancel any ticket it identifies as advertised for sale above the original purchase price.
Number of Tickets Per Transaction
Due to extraordinary demand in the Midnight Oil pre-sale the decision has been made to reduce the General Public on-sale limit from 10 to 6 in an effort to deter scalping. We appreciate your understanding on this late decision. Tickets to all shows go on sale on Monday 27 February at staggered times. Visit frontiertouring.com/midnightoil for more details.
