Wellington Phoenix concludes its ‘Wollongong Appreciation Month’ with a second double-header at WIN Stadium
Watch the Phoenix take on newcomers Macarthur Bulls AND see the Wollongong Wolves square off against Northbridge Bulls in the NPL, all for the price of a single ticket!
The last time these two teams faced each other in January, both teams walked away with a 1-1 draw; David Ball the hero for Wellington with his amazing first-half goal. But the match was also memorable for the controversial red card which sent Alex Rufer off and left the Nix down to 10 men; something the Phoenix won’t have forgotten when they face them again in March.
In their first season in the A-League, the Bulls have impressed thanks to the star power of Matt Derbyshire and Mark Milligan. But they’ll be contending with a Phoenix squad that is hungry to get back into the Finals for a third straight year as they look to replicate the success of its record-breaking 2019/20 season.
